Walled Wildlife Garden

The brief for this garden was to create an intimate and structured wildlife garden in which to entertain with features to interest the children and encourage them to use the garden

With high boundary walls this garden gave us a great back drop to work with, and allowed us incorporate a tall water wall and an engraved wall bird box feature.

The client required 2 patio areas, each receiving the sun at different times of the day. One will be used to site raised beds to grow herbs, and one as a main entertaining area.

The loose and floaty planting scheme is relaxed and, along with the woven willow dome at the back of the garden, creates an enchanting space the children will enjoy.

The lawn has been left long with a mown path running through it to create a natural environment and encourage wildlife into the garden.

The plants used will attract pollinating insects and birds, and the circular shapes create separate zones and a relaxed space.
